Paris is preparing to a big New Year party on 31 December 2005. The show will take place in the Opera Garnier. There will be given a very special concert to see the year out in style. French finest conductor Georges Pretre will conduct extracts from operas by famous composers such as Thomas, Bizet and Offenbach. In the second part of the concert tenor Roberto Alagna will present French national repertory pieces. And it’ll be champagne all round once the concert is over to drink a toast to the New Year. Anyway the city is festive and you can just walk along the streets.
