President and prime minister gave up. The first hire contract will not come to an action. After the meeting between French president and prime minister they declared that there would be new law. Later, on press conference prime minister said that it would b replaced by new measures aimed to decrease unemployment level among the youth. The notorious law about the right to fire young people without explanation during their first two years of work came into power on 2 April 2006 that coursed a lot of demonstrations, strikes and protests throughout the country, especially in Paris. However there were protests against these strikes. They were carried out with the motto – we want to study, not to strike. The most of the colleges and universities now work as usual, but several universities are still closed.
